Texas Panhandle Residents Still Fuming Over Radio Host's 'Barbeque' Quip During Wildfires

THE MOUTH, MARCH 13TH, 2107 –– Ashley Till (inset) of Sirius XM's 'The Highway's has Texas Panhandle residents fuming following her "barbecue for everyone" comment during wildfire coverage, which impacted hundreds of thousands of acres being affected and 4 people killed reports News Channel 10. After the story went viral, Till apologized Friday on her personal blog, saying the comment was a mistake because she did not know the full story and made light of a tragedy. And added post by Till didn't help matters, either

"Sadly, it's turned into a telephone game," Till wrote. "People are assuming I have no regard for human life or that I don’t care about the damage that has been done. This is simply not the case. I honestly didn’t know the full story of the fires. And from the bottom of my heart I am sorry. Trust me, I have spent the past 24 hrs crying and feeling sick to my stomach because of the entire situation. Just because you don’t see a post of my face on social media doesn’t mean I’m hiding or “proud” of my comments. I’m not."

Unfortunately, in a later Till post she wrote: "to everyone who gets their panties in a bunch over nothing... Happy National Get Over it Day." Till said the post was not in regard to her on-air comment and blamed "poor timing" for the outrage. @anhelica_xoxo that was a reference to something completely different. Trust me. Poor timing? FORMATICS: Entercom Debuts New R&B, HOT 103.7 New Orleans

THE MOUTH, MARCH 13TH, 2017 – Entercom announced the launch of Hot 103.7 FM, a new R&B station in New Orleans. The station will join Entercom New Orleans’s WWL 870 AM/ 105.3 FM, B97 FM, Magic 101.9 FM and Bayou 95.7 FM. Hot 103.7 FM will be the only R&B station in New Orleans to host live and local programming in morning drive. “We are focused on delivering the content and music that we know listeners in New Orleans are looking for,” said Chris Claus, vice president and market manager, Entercom New Orleans.

The station debuts with the kickoff of “Big Abe in the Morning”, hosted by Abraham “Big Abe” Johnson (shown). Johnson is an on-air veteran in New Orleans and has previously worked as a producer and assistant program director in the market. In afternoon drive, Hot 103.7 FM will air Terrence “Terry Bello” Burton. Burton is a recognized on-air personality and hosted the nationally syndicated “Soul Lounge”. He will also serve as the station’s assistant program director and music director. Tom “Jammer” Naylor will serve as the program director for Hot 103.7 FM and will continue his role as the program director for B97 FM.

ON-AIR: Milwaukee's FM 106.1 Debuts Ridder, Scott & Shannen In Mornings

THE MOUTH, MARCH 13TH, 2017 –– FM106.1, Milwaukee's Best Country radio station, announced the debut of their new morning show, Ridder, Scott and Shannen, effective immediately.

Born and raised in Richfield, Shannen grew up listening FM106.1 and discovered a passion for country music. Her radio career began with an internship in the station’s promotion department her freshman year of college. After five years with the company, Shannen is now the newest member of the FM106.1 morning show. Ridder, a three-year veteran of the afternoon drivetime show, will move to mornings joining Shannen and current morning host Scott.

THE MOUTH, MARCH 13TH, 2017 –– Beasley Media Group’s Power 98/WPEG-FM has hired Ya Girl Nikki (top left) for the Evening host on Power 98, heard weekdays from 7pm – Midnight. Nikki most recently served as a part-time on air announcer at WPEG’s sister station (WZFX) in Fayetteville, NC. Additionally, Brian Mr. Incognito Robinson (above center), who has served as afternoon talent, will shift into his new role as a new member of The Maddhouse Morning Show. He will also continue his duties as Power 98 Music Director. With Mr. Incognito moving to mornings, this means that the afternoon position will be filled by newcomer John Sport E. Odie Adams (top right). He will host the afternoon shift from 3p.m.-7p.m.
