Stern added that his agent, Don Buchwald, who also filed suit against SiriusXM back in 2011, told Stern that even though he have a five year deal, that after the third year he could actually leave. "I think I want to leave...I have to do this year and then I could get the f**k out of here…I want out.” As Jockline Daily reported earlier, Stern and Buchwald's lawsuit against Sirius XM which claimed the company beat him out of $300 million of promised stock bonuses after its merger in 2008, a judge ruled against them, however, they are in the process of appealing the decision. Smith, best know as "Stash" on 98 Rock, pleaded guilty Monday morning to drunk driving charges and was sentenced to six months in the Harford County Detention Center. American Idol No Longer Most Expensive Show For Advertising

Sunday Night Football Tops List

THE MOUTH, OCTOBER 23RD, 2012 –– For the first time in five years, Fox TV's American Idol has dropped it hold as being the most expensive television advertising spot. According to Ad Age, the average price for a 30-second commercial on the Wednesday edition of 'Idol slipped to $340,825 from $502,900 last season. Ads on the show's Thursday show hit $296,002, compared to the previous rate of $468,1000. With growing competition, the show reportedly lost a quarter of its audience last season. "I don't think it will have the ratings free fall that it did last year, but I don't think it will return to previous levels of viewership," said Shari-Anne Brill, the CEO of Shari Anne Brill Media. She added "There are so many talent competitions on the air that in the end they cannibalize each other to an extent." This advertising free fall may have contributed to 'Idol's recent addition of high-priced judges such as Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj. In addition to Carey and Minaj, country star Keith Urban also joined the judge's panel along with sole remaining judge, Randy Jackson. Ryan Seacrest returned as host as well.

SHOCKER: WGN's Tom Langmyer Exits

THE MOUTH, OCTOBER 23RD, 2012 –– Longtime WGN Radio Vice President & General Manager Tom Langmyer shocked the radio community yesterday with the announcement of his exit from the Tribune outlet. According to chicagoradioandmedia Langmyer's exit may have come as a result of he and his Tribune bosses not agreeing over upcoming changes to the radio station. Reportedly, the move had been coming for some time, but it was Tribune Broadcasting that chose the time of this exit to be today. The Tribune Company is looking to exit bankruptcy at some point this year and turn over ownership of the media giant to a handful of creditors, who are expected to begin to sell off portions of the company. Tom Langmyer came to WGN Radio in 2005, after a 13 year run as an executive for CBS Radio.

106.9 Milwaukee Enable's Bieber Meet For Cancer Patient

THE MOUTH, OCTOBER 22ND, 2012 –– Stuntologist and longtime Morning Mouth stunts columnist, Paige Nienaber, tells Jockline Daily, "I can name a dozen stations whose collective heads would explode if I suggested taking some meet-and-greets at the last moment and doing something like this." Check it out: Hailey Roser (shown),The 4-year-old Justin Bieber fan from East Troy-diagnosed with a brain tumor in August-was able to meet the 18-year-old pop star at the BMO Harris Bradley Center before his concert Sunday. Roser's parents, Eric and Sabrina, created a social media campaign to encourage Bieber to meet their daughter. Brandon Rowe, brand manager for WNRG-FM/Milwaukee (106.9), found out about the campaign and instead of using meet-and-greet passes the station had received from Bieber's label for promotional giveaways, the station decided to donate them to the Rosers. The family wasn't sure if Hailey, who is undergoing chemotherapy and has had complications, would be well enough to go to the arena, but she was cleared by a doctor Sunday and transported to the arena by ambulance for a private five-minute meeting. During that meeting, Hailey told Bieber she loved him, and in turn he thanked her for the opportunity to meet her, Eric said. "It was just great to see her smile," Eric Roser said. "To give her something good to do finally after being [sick] for two months, it felt so good."
