THE MOUTH, FEBRUARY 23RD, 2012 –– From the same station who once offered to pay for a divorce, Q104 Halifax is once again catching heat for its latest Win a "Mail-Order Bride" from the Mighty Q!! As the station states: "Q104 and Czech-Bride.com are gonna help you find your soul mate. We’ll fly you to Prague where you’ll date a bevy of Czech beauties, compliments of Flying Hearts International Dating Service (www.czech-bride.com) and put you up at the luxurious Hotel Esplanade Prague (www.esplanade.cz). Singer Broke Agreement On Seating Arrangement And Promise To Not Reach Out To Daughter Bobbi Kristina

THE MOUTH, FEBRUARY 23RD,2012 –– Whitney Houston‘s family attorney Mark G. Trigg called into V103 Atlanta's Frank and Wanda Morning Show this week to set the record straight on what really happened regarding Bobby Brown's well-publicized bolt from Houston’s funeral. He told Frank and Wanda “It’s important for the family that this issue not continue to be a distraction; something that takes away from the beauty of the service. Something that takes away from everything that happened that was positive on Saturday.” He added: "We had a number of discussions prior to the service and a very clear understanding as to exactly what was supposed to take place ... There were three rows reserved for the family up front. Bobby was invited to sit in those three rows with the family ... Bobby has three older children that he wanted to bring - they were invited, his brother Tommy was invited ... The understanding was, and the agreement was, that the three children would sit with Tommy, a few rows behind the family, while Bobby was permitted to sit in those three rows with scarce seating, with the family ... However, on the day of the funeral, Bobby and his three children went and sat in the family section." Trigg said once that happened, "security discreetly, politely, respectfully said, 'Bobby, you're welcome to stay here, but we need to ask the three children to please go sit with their uncle. Top News From The UK: Capital FM Drops 'One Direction' After Thanking Rival Station During BRIT Award

By Graham Mack

THE MOUTH, FEBRUARY 23RD, 2012 –– Capital FM has dropped the boyband “One Direction” from its playlist. It’s after they thanked rival station Radio 1 on stage at last night’s BRIT Awards. The group were picking up the Best British Single prize – after being voted winners by Capital FM listeners and iTunes users. On stage at London’s O2 arena – and in front of millions watching on TV at home – Harry Styles from the boyband said: “And a massive thank you to Radio 1″. People took to Twitter straight away to point out the gaffe, since the award they won was supported by Radio 1′s commercial rival Capital FM. Radio 1 breakfast presenter Chris Moyles wrote: “Best British single voted by listeners to Capital FM, One Direction. Harry Styles said “a massive thank you to Radio 1″ HaHa Nice one!” Moyles’ colleague Scott Mills added: “@edsheeran Is a lad. And thankful for Radio 1 breaking him. As are One Direction. During the award voted by Capital listeners. Thanks 1d!” Capital FM’s owners Global’s (Styles has since apologized)

BBC Radio 1’s Chris Moyles Show moved to the BBC’s Maida Vale studios to celebrate Moyles’ 38th Birthday - Maida Vale has the largest recording space available in the UK. The show included a live 64-piece orchestra and jingles singers, plus special guests including Pixie Lott and Radio 1 presenters. Fellow presenter Sara Cox appeared out of a giant birthday cake, the comedian Jimmy Carr took part in Car Park Catchphrase and boybands JLS and One Direction turned up to wish the Radio 1 presenter a happy birthday. The whole show was broadcast live on the BBC television and online. By making such a big deal of this birthday there is now a lot of speculation that this is the last birthday Chris will spend at Radio 1. Some insiders think that at age 38 he is too old to connect with Radio 1’s 16 to 24 year old target audience.

Do You Know What It Means To Have To Clean New Orleans?

7

THE MOUTH, FEBRUARY 23RD, 2012 –– Good thing you can't smell pictures. I can assure you, this isn't one you would want to whiff. Special thanks to 92.5 WDJQ Canton Ohio's Robbie Mack with an assist from WMEE/Ft. Wayne's Nichole Roberts for this shot taken the morning after Fat Tuesday in New Orleans. As revelers and party-goers leave for home, what's left behind took road crews nearly over a day to clean up. All things considered, it's nice to see Nawlin's starting to return to its old self again.

Houston's Berry Lashes Out At Sources Over Hit & Run Incident; Sparks Radio War With Competitor [AUDIO]

THE MOUTH, FEBRUARY 22ND, 2012 –– If you've been following the news lately, you may have heard a story involving Michael Berry, a conservative talker on Houston's KTRH. He's been embroiled in a local fiasco following a security camera allegedly catching him having a beverage at a well-known gay bar on Jan. 31st, then a bouncer later claiming he plowed his SUV into another car outside the club. Apparently fed up with the allegations, Berry finally lashed out on yesterday's show saying "I'm pissed off; I'm some kinda of 9 times pissed off.. and every unnamed source of whoever said what about me will be called out in due time..." Among those who Berry claims are stirring the pot include crosstown Sports Radio 610 KILT's Josh Innes, whose father is Scott Innes, a personality in Baton Rouge. Berry called out Innes saying: "Some little twit turd named Josh Innes who's apparently about 22 years old, whose dad is a common criminal in Baton Rouge; this little turd begged me for job--I didn't give it to him--now he's got some show nobody listens to...and he's on air putting graphic depictions of me and all sorts of scurrilous gay crap... Oh, no sir, you little turd. You ain’t heard the last of me.” This prompted Innes to respond by saying he's 25-years old, not 22. He says he’s never attempted to work for or with Berry. And his father Scott Innes, who also voices TV's 'Scooby Doo,' is not a criminal. Actually, he’s a radio guy just like his son. He added “That’s total BS. I’ve never even met Michael Berry.” One thing Innes can be cited for is a rap song he created for the occasion. Among the lyrics: "He'll back into your car and then he'll leave the scene -- He's a jerk on the air but tonight's he's a queen" - to which his partner Josh Lord injects, 'you're going straight to hell." THE MOUTH, FEBRUARY 22ND, 2012 –– According to sohh.com, singer, composer & actor Ray J is upset over WGCI/Chicago's Morning Riot alleged use of a Ray J impersonator who made light of his feelings towards Whitney Houston. This Bird's For You: Adele Flips Off TV Crew Following Speech Interruption [VIDEO]

THE MOUTH, FEBRUARY 22ND, 2012 –– When it comes to stars, no one is more on their minds of radio hosts these days than behemoth star Adele. Just after winning British Album of the Year for '21' last night, she was in the middle of an emotional speech when host James Corden caught her off guard by walking up and saying: "Thank you very, very much." Following plenty of boos from the audience, Adele begins to walk off but not before flipping off cameras. Then comes our favorite part. While she offers the one-finger salute, an oblivious Corden proceeds to introduce the next act: "Ladies and Gentlemen, it's Blur!!! In a follow-up press conference, Adele said: "I was cut off during my speech but I wanted to thank the British public for all their support ... I flipped the bird for the suits at the BRITS who cut me off. Sorry if I offended anyone but it was for them, not for the fans." WATCH VIDEO

Radio's 'Class of Dittman' Remembers WABB (Pt 2)

THE MOUTH, FEBRUARY 22ND, 2012 –– Following last week's shocker that legendary WABB-FM/Mobile had sold to a not-for-profit group and would be dropping its calls and changing format, Jockline Daily reached out to some of those incredible personalities whose careers were launched at WABB. In the second of a two part series, SVP/Corporate/Programming for Cumulus Media, Mike McVay says it was Dittman who gave him his first GM job. "Working for Bernie was like going to business school. I learned so many things from him. It was a fun, crazy, exciting place to work. Bernie’s famous words were “I said that I’d like to do that. I didn’t say to do it.” Lee Chesnut, who now works with NBC's "The Voice," said: "I must be the luckiest guy in the world to have started my career at Bernie Dittman's WABB in 1987 --- Truly a legendary place to work and I'm sad that an era has come to a close." Fellow alumnus, Randy Lane of The Randy Lane Company calls it bittersweet: "The sale of WABB-FM/Mobile not only represents the end of a 50 year era for a legendary Top 40 radio station. In many ways, it symbolizes the end of radio’s golden age. Although Bernie was a salesman by trade nothing thrilled him more than his love of music, big promotions and entertaining air personalities. I too feel both sadness and joy with this news. I am honored to have been part of WABB’s legacy." CORRECTION: In yesterday's story on WABB, we stated that Scott Shannon grew up listening to WABB. While WABB was his first full-time radio gig, he didn't actually grow up listening to it. See revised story below in "recent news. Our apologies for the oversight.
