Alabama PD Makes U Turn To Former Station Following Lawsuit

THE MOUTH, MARCH 5TH, 2013 –– Looks like Ryan Haney (shown) will be retuning to his former station, WJOX 94.5 FM/Birmingham, after leaving six weeks ago to join sports-talk rival ESPN 97.3 The Zone. According to al.com, Haney, who had been with WJOX since 1998 and had been its program director since 2004, left the station on Jan. 21st and started work at 97.3 The Zone a week later. Then came WJOX owner, Citadel Broadcasting, who filed a breach-of-contract lawsuit. Judge David Proctor granted a temporary restraining order barring Haney from working for 97.3 The Zone on Feb. 7th with a hearing set when more evidence was gathered, but that was delayed indefinitely by Proctor last Friday. Reportedly, both sides now appear to have reached a settlement, but attorneys representing both Citadel and Haney declined comment. Haney left WJOX the same day popular sports host Paul Finebaum's contract ended. AI's Bob Carlton says Cumulus, the new owner of WJOX, has 90 days from the time Finebaum's contract expired to match any offer from a competing station, and Finebaum is not expected to make a move until those 90 days are up.

Young Show Member Handles First Major Interview, Plus Date With Mila Kunis [VIDEO]

THE MOUTH, MARCH 5TH, 2013 –– This may be one of the coolest interviews we've seen for awhile. It involves 25 Yr. old Chris Stark (shown with Kunis), a regular contributor to BBC 1's Scott Mills show, who engaged in a most unusual chat with mega star Mila Kunis. There promoting "Oz The Great And Powerful," the subject somehow turned to food, weddings and even dropping trowel. Stark, apparently not realizing you aren't suppose to invite major celeb's to social outings, ends up having Kunis agree to join him for drinks and nearly a wedding were it not for a conflict. Watch this closely. A clearly nervous Stark calls the experience his Facebook page "cringe worthy," but you have to admit, this may provide a totally new approach to celebrity interviews. RICH SHERTENLIEB: His Wife Walked Into The Hospital With Cancer In 80 Percent Of Her Body; As Of Thursday, It Was All Gone [AUDIO]

THE MOUTH, MARCH 4TH, 2013 –– It's a story Toucher & Rich's fans have followed closely for the last couple of weeks. 98.5 The Sports Hub's Rich Shertenlieb (shown) announced to his listeners just weeks ago that his wife Mary was diagnosed with AML – a form of Leukemia. He then took off from the show, but returned last week to share, what he called, a miracle. “I got a call after I went home on Thursday (from the hospital) at 5 pm, and my wife is crying. A doctor came in and said the chemo worked, and she is cancer free and is now officially in remission,” Rich said Friday morning. “Sixteen days after showing up with what they said was one of the highest blast cell counts they’ve ever witnessed, she is cancer-free.” Mary will still have to go through a 6-7 month cycle of less-powerful chemotherapy, but by the end of the summer, if all goes well, she’ll be done with cancer. In just a week or two she’ll be able to eat again (she hasn’t had a real meal since Feb. 17) and, most importantly, see her two kids for the first time since being admitted to the hospital. Mary joined Toucher & Rich Friday morning to give thanks to everyone that has sent her and Rich well wishes during her battle. “I asked a nurse how rare this is, like someone is in remission this quick," Rich said. 'She said of the 10 years she’s been in this unit she remembers one case that was close to this, said Rich. LISTEN TO AUDIO
