[WATCH] Cellphone Video Shows DUI Was Setup Against Todd Schnitt's Attorney Says Lawyer

THE MOUTH, MAY 7TH, 2015 –– A cellphone video that claims to show a paralegal talking about a plot to set up a rival lawyer for DUI is being called 'a smoking gun' by attorney John Fitzgibbons. Fitzgibbons (R) represents Philip Campbell the attorney who represented Todd "MJ" Schnitt in the highly publicized Schnitt and Bubba the Love Sponge Clem trial. Lawyers Stephen Diaco, Robert Adams, and Adam Filthaut deny they were part of an attempt to set up Philip Campbell in his 2013 DUI, but now face possible disciplinary action.

Court filings revealed this week that the ex-husband of a paralegal recorded her the night of the arrest talking about what had happened. On the video, she says her actions might lead to a big bonus from three bosses involved because it was going to help their client’s case.

Fitzgibbons called a press conference on Wednesday to say the video is powerful evidence that is basically the last piece of the puzzle as to the set up of Phil Campbell that night. Fitzgibbons said Campbell learned of the video’s existence in early May of last year. WATCH HERE

Pandora Scores Another Victory Against Music Industry

THE MOUTH, MAY 7TH, 2015 –– Chalk up another victory for Pandora, this time a federal appeals court affirmed a judge’s ruling about royalty rates for songs represented by ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers). A federal appeals court ruled yesterday in favor of the Internet streaming service according to The New York Times.

Fresh off the heels of Pandora getting a greenlight over its efforts to buy a South Dakota radio station, On Wednesday the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, in New York, affirmed a ruling from Judge Denise L. Cote of U.S. District Court in New York that set a rate of 1.85 percent for the public performance of songs in Ascap’s catalog for Pandora and other Internet radioservices.

In a statement, Dave Grimaldi, a spokesman for Pandora, said, “We are pleased that the Second Circuit has affirmed Judge Cote’s ruling, which highlights the anticompetitive harms that can result from a lack of transparency into music ownership.” Elizabeth Matthews, Ascap’s chief executive, said the ruling affirms what we already know, that the Ascap consent decree and the rules that govern music licensing are outdated and completely out of step with the way people listen to music today.”

Bob Uecker Gets Trapped In Press Box During Brewers Game

THE MOUTH, MAY 7TH, 2015 –– Beloved Milwaukee Brewers broadcaster Bob Uecker who airs on 620 WTMJ had to be rescued from the press box during Wednesday night's game against the Dodgers. According to Fox Sports, Uecker was locked in the radio booth at Miller Park when the door handle broke during the sixth inning against the Dodgers. The ever-young, 80-year-old Uecker was trapped and, of course, joked: "People who are listening to the ballgame, I know what you're thinking: `He's ready for the (nursing) home. He's cooked. It's finally happened. He's seeing ladders and doors without handles.'"

Fortunately, a long, red ladder was brought in a an employee climbed through the front opening of the booth to remove the hinges from the door. "Anyone, really, from the concourse could just walk up our ladder," joked Joe Block, Uecker's broadcast partner, who was also locked in. Worth noting: Brewers won 6-3 over the Dodgers. WATCH HERE

FORECAST: Mobile Ad Revenues To Triple By 2019

THE MOUTH, MAY 6TH, 2015 –– In an update to its U.S. Local Media Forecast 2015, BIA/Kelsey forecasts location-targeted mobile advertising revenues in the U.S. to grow from $6.7 billion in 2015 to $18.2 billion in 2019, representing a 28.5 percent compound annual growth rate. According to the forecast, mobile is driving most of the change in digital media, gaining traction with advertisers, and jumping to an 11.5 percent share of the total local media pie by 2019, up from a 4.8 percent share in 2015. This will make mobile the fourth largest local media in 2019, behind direct mail (23.6 percent share), over-the-air television (13.7 percent share) and pure-play online (12.9 percent share).
