ON-AIR: Lisa Dent Returning To The Air In Chicago; Larry & Kathie Return To Terrestrial In Denver For Max Media

They would later team for an online show. Beginning yesterday, June 4th, Larry Ulibarri and Kathie J took to the air at 5:00 am on FLO 107.1. The show will then be rebroadcast on KJHM- JAMMIN’ 101.5, from 3pm to 7pm.

BFOA Establishes Memorial Fund in Honor of Industry Vet Joseph M. Bilotta

Bilotta Memorial Fund in honor of the veteran broadcaster who passed in Connecticut this past Friday from pancreatic cancer at the age of 69. Geoffrey Starks Nominated To Fill FCC Seat To Be Vacated By Mignon Clyburn

THE MOUTH, JUNE 4TH, 2018 –– FCC Chairman Ajit Pai issued the following statement tonight regarding the announcement that President Trump intends to nominate Geoffrey Starks (inset) to serve as an FCC Commissioner: “I congratulate Geoffrey Starks on his forthcoming nomination to serve as a Commissioner on the Federal Communications Commission. He has a distinguished record of public service, including in the FCC’s Enforcement Bureau, and I wish him all the best during the confirmation process.”

Starks, like Clyburn, is a Democrat and currently is one of five assistant bureau chiefs at the FCC, and he also served as senior counsel at the U.S. Justice Department reports Deadline,. The White House statement says. The nomination — which would complete Clyburn’s five-year term, though June 2022 — comes at an important time for the commission. It is being sued by a consortium of consumer groups and unions over the panel’s support for the long-gestating $4.6N Sinclair Broadcasting Group merger with Tribune Media. Clyburn had been an avowed opponent of the deal, which the FCC looks to approve along party lines. The party in power is allowed a majority on the five-seat FCC panel.

Dave Ryan Celebrates 25th Anniversary At KDWB-FM; 'Still Love Doing The Show'

THE MOUTH, JUNE 4TH, 2018 –– In a career that began 38 years ago at a religious station in Colorado at the age of 17, today marks the 25th anniversary for Dave Ryan as he sits firmly in the drivers seat at iHeart's top-rated KDWB Minneapolis. "I remember back then they placed an ad in the trades that cost $5,000 looking for the next KDWB morning guy. I thought no way would I ever beat out the entire industry for this job," said Ryan. But that he did and has delivered top ratings ever since. "The key word is hard work, preparation and being down to earth, Ryan attributes to his success. Giants And Cumulus' KNBR 680 Becomes First In MLB To Offer Free, In-Market Live Streaming Of Radio Broadcasts

Since that time, she and her team of volunteers have surprised 600+ pediatric cancer patients with new iPads. Shelli Sonstein's Team Is Top Fundraiser In Tower Event; Elvis Kicks In $5,000

THE MOUTH, MAY 4TH, 2018 –– Shelli Sonstein, co-host of the Jim Kerr Rock & Roll Morning Show on Q104.3 FM in NYC, and her team was the #1 fundraiser this year, raising over $23,000. Her friend Elvis Duran, invited her on his air (as did all the other iHeart stations in NY) and he generously donated $5,000. And Q gave her another $1,000. She climbed 104 flights yesterday in under 30 minutes! The Event is in support of the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation’s mission to honor the sacrifice of firefighter Stephen Siller. The off duty FDNY’er was in Brooklyn about to play golf with his brothers when the first plane hit the twin towers. In full 65 pound fire gear, he ran through the closed to traffic Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the WTC where he perished with other FDNY brothers.

In addition to supporting firefighters, the Foundation provides valuable assistance to families of first responders, police officers, and military personnel, including paying mortgages and other expenses of heroes killed in the line of duty, thereby lessening the incredible burden on their loved ones.
