Orlando Host Says TSA Agents Inappropriately Touched, Embarrassed Her [VIDEO]

THE MOUTH, AUGUST 2ND, 2013 –– The look on Jana Banana's face in her Facebook post (left), pretty much says it all. Jana Banana, a popular host on Real Radio 104.1/Orlando host says a recent security screening at Orlando International Airport left her feeling humiliated because she is confined to a wheelchair. According to click.orlando, she says was touched inappropriately by TSA agents and it isn't the first time she's had problems at the airport. She posted at FB page ""I was detained, interrogated and molested by 6 TSA agents and 3 bomb explosive experts for over and hour...I've never felt so humiliated." Her husband told Local 6 by phone that it happens every time she flies. Because she can't walk through the body scanner or metal detector, TSA policy dictates she must get a pat-down, that she claims was uncomfortable. "The TSA agent touched her, only where her husband and her doctor do," said fellow personality, Jack Bradshaw. A TSA spokesperson said both Jana and her wheelchair set off an alarm, explosives experts were called in, and she was screened in a private room with the door closed. WATCH VIDEO

MSBC/25 To Present Kraddick Tribute

THE MOUTH, AUGUST 2ND, 2013 –– During this year's 25th Annual Morning Show Boot Camp in Chicago, a special tribute is being organized in honor of Kidd Kraddick who died unexpectedly this past weekend while participating in a charity golf tournament. Kraddick, a popular guest and presenter during numerous 'Boot Camps,' will be remembered by several of his closest radio friends and associates. "He made an an impact that was bigger than radio. We ache because we have lost greatness on many levels. I can't even begin to describe the waves of pain I'm feeling..," said Bert Weiss of the syndicated Bert Show. Today Proclaimed ''Kidd Kraddick's Kidd's Kids Day" In Dallas

Clear Channel's KHKS-FM/Dallas, Yea Networks, Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers, Southwest Airlines and the Dallas Fort Worth area are teaming up to honor late radio legend Kidd Kraddick by proclaiming Friday August 2, as Kidd Kraddick Kidd's Kids Day. This special proclamation follows a weeklong on air celebration of Kidd's life following his passing last weekend. Kidd Kraddick, while best known for entertaining thousands of listeners across the country each morning on-air, off air, Kidd was dedicated to helping those around him through his words, actions, and his charity, Kidd's Kids. "Kidd devoted his life to making people smile every morning, and for 21 years his foundation has been dedicated to bringing joy to thousands of chronically and terminally ill children," said CCME Senior VP/Operations Kelly Kibler. "Kidd died doing what he loved, and his final day was spent selflessly focused on those special children that meant the world to him." Kraddick Show Returns Monday In Some Form

THE MOUTH, AUGUST 1ST, 2013 –– Slightly more than a week after the untimely death of syndicated host Kidd Kraddick, on Monday, August 5th,
some form of show will return live. According to dallas.culture, representatives from the show's parent company, YEA Networks, don't know yet what form that will be, but they emailed stations around the country this week that stating they felt confident the show would go live on Monday morning, with cast members Kellie Raspberry and Big Al doing life breaks. In New Orleans, where Kraddick appeared during a charity event for his Kidd's Kids, B97 New Orleans, DJ Jammer says that they've been reassured that some live show will be aired. "I'm hoping we're showing that they have loyal listeners and that it's worth keep the program on," says petition organizer Jessica Flores. Jammer is also the person who took the photo, now widely circulated, of Kraddick arm-and-arm with his crew, hours before his passing. No long-term plan has been announced regarding the show. Known for her extensive run in the '80's on 101 KLOL-FM, Steele, who at 53 is the same age as Kraddick tells MYFOX/Houston: "I eat healthy, I exercise, I'm not overweight," but It's important to me, after what happened to Kidd, that we get this information to the public -- and show them, they're not ripping my chest open like I'm Sigourney Weaver in ‘Alien.'" Steele checked out fine, but this same kind of test might have saved Kidd Kraddick, says Dr. William Zoghbi, director of Houston Methodist's Cardiovascular Imaging Institute. Zoghbi didn't treat Kraddick, but he's heard what the autopsy revealed. "It looks like there was blockage in the arteries, the heart was enlarged," Zoghbi said. According to inforum.com, The only thing they are saying is that they will not be headed to rival country station Bob 95.1. No sooner had they parted ways with Froggy had rumors started on Facebook. On their page, in a pose similar to that used by Ace & TJ when crossing over to Channel 96.1, Charlotte, the trio pose with duct tape over their mouths. Bob 95 already features Chris, John and Jane in the Morning and this comes on the heels of James D. Ingstad handing off Froggy 99 to Midwest Communications in exchange for Bob 95. Earlier this year, Ingstad sold his six Radio Fargo-Moorhead stations, including Bob 95, to Midwest. He followed this up by buying Froggy 99 and five other stations from L&L Broadcasting. L&L Broadcasting had just bought the Fargo-Moorhead stations as part of a larger deal with Triad Broadcasting. According to the most recent Arbitron ratings, Bob 95 and Froggy 99 are the top-rated country music stations in the metro, both ranking in the top five stations.
