Chet Buchanan 10th Annual Toy Drive Plans Underway
THE MOUTH, AUGUST 9TH, 2013 –– It's a stunt that keeps on giving. Chet Buchanan, he host of 98.5 KLUC's Morning Zoo is already planning his tenth year of spending twelve days living on wooden scaffolding. In December. No, he's not crazy: Buchanan has been spending a little under two weeks on a platform thirty feet in the air in order to raise awareness for Toy Drive in Las Vegas. Buchanan came up with the idea as a kid growing up in Seattle. "The idea originally was the top of the Space Needle for charity, but there are dreams that cannot be. Even so, despite 60-mph wind gusts, sideways rain, snow and hail he has never once come down from the scaffold, according to Diamond Cake. Last year Chet's Toy Drive received 3,280 bikes, 268,000 dollars in gift cards, and eighteen trucks filled with toys. I said: “No way, man.” [Laughs] If it doesn’t happen one year, it will be disappointing. But each time it’s one of those situations where, once it ends, you start getting ready for next year.
New Twist In Scnitt Case: DUI Charges Dropped Against Attorney

Royal Family Says Thank You To Free Radio
THE MOUTH, AUGUST 9TH, 2013 –– Free Radio listeners have had a thank you card from the Kensington Palace to say thank you for the cards and gifts sent by the station. In the letter the Private Secretary to HRH The Duke of Cambridge wrote to thank Free Radio and everyone in the West Midlands very much for the spectacular card which was sent to Their Royal Highnesses on the occasion of the birth of their son Prince George. The specially produced 6ft x 4ft gift card was created by Free Radio and toured around the West Midlands for the public to sign to leave their messages of congratulations, before being packed up and driven down to London to be hand delivered to Kensington Palace. Over 250 families signed the giant baby card including Free Radio presenters Sam & Mark, Dan Morrissey and Russ Morris.
Wright Joins 5 Live In New Season Changes - Absolute Radio presenter Ian Wright is joining BBC 5 live as part of a number of changes ahead of the new football season starting this month.
