THE MOUTH, SEPTEMBER 12TH, 2013 –– Looks like yet another radio guy is pitching in at NBC's 'Today' Show. On this morning show, host Matt Lauer announced that the host of TV's "The Voice," 'Last Call' and morning host at CBS' Radio's AMP 97.1 LA will officially be joining their family. According to USA Today, he said "This feels like a new era of Today, saying he'll be launching "The Orange Room," a social media area where viewers can contact him. "I'll be your digital doorman." Joined on the couch with Lauer, Savannah Guthrie, Al Roker, Natalie Morales, Hoda Kotb, Willie Geist and Kathie Lee Gifford (who were all squeezed in on a couch), Daly cracked, "This feels like an intervention." He did say he'll continue AMP 97.1 morning show, as well as his weekly countdown radio show. Fellow LA host and media mogul Ryan Seacrest is also a regular guest and contributor to the show as well.
Homeless Friend Of 1010 WINS Anchor Brian Carey Sought In Beating
THE MOUTH, SEPTEMBER 12TH, 2013 –– The NY Daily News is now reporting that a homeless friend who had been hanging out with 1010 WINS/New York's Brian Carey upper East Side apartment is now being sought in connection with the savage beating that left the popular newsman semiconscious with a broken jaw and fractures to an eye socket. Reportedly, the pair went out to pick up food and his friend returned in a rage, cops report. The assault is believed to have begun inside Carey's apartment. A neighbor later found the newsman unconscious in the lobby. Carey’s brother James told the Daily News he “wouldn’t doubt” that his brother tried to help a homeless person, but said his sibling doesn’t recall much about the attack. “He’s had a hard time remembering what happened,” said James, who added that his younger brother wants to get back to work as soon as possible.

Now, she says, "Kidd's Kid Is Running Kidd's Kids." "I want to take it national. There's a point where this could be the largest charity in the world," said Caroline. New York Yankees And CBS Radio Team For Multi-Year Broadcast

Movie Firm Bans BBC Radio 5 Live From Talking With Their Talent
THE MOUTH, SEPTEMBER 12TH, 2013 –– The BBC is locked in a bitter row with a film company after Diana star Naomi Watts was accused of storming out of a radio interview. Entertainment One, one of the UK’s biggest movie firms, has banned Radio 5 Live from talking to any of their “talent” and blasted DJ Simon Mayo for acting “unprofessionally”. It comes after Naomi appeared to take offence to Simon’s line of questions while discussing her lead role in the new film about Princess Diana. The actress met with Simon and co-host Mark Kermode, last week to pre-record an interview for their weekly show Kermode & Mayo’s Film Review. But Simon – who has interviewed Hollywood heavyweights such as Richard Curtis, Anne Hathaway and Michael Douglas – was left stunned by Naomi’s sudden exit. 1010 WINS New York News Anchor Savagely Beaten In Apparent Robbery
THE MOUTH, SEPTEMBER 11TH, 2013 –– Popular 1010 WINS New York news anchor Brian Cary (shown) was found beaten and semiconscious in a midtown building lobby late Monday following an apparent robbery. He was discovered by a neighbor who then called police. According to The New York Daily News he was rushed to Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center where he was found to have suffered a broken jaw and facial fractures and was listed in serious condition. While unable to speak, he was able convey to police that he was missing his cell phone and wallet. WINS PD, Ben Mevorach, told the Daily News the anchor’s colleagues are pulling for him. “Brian is a treasured member of the 1010 WINS family, and right now all of our focus is on helping him to recover,” said Mevorach. Police are currently investigating the attack and said no arrests have been made.

During yesterday's iPhone event, Apple announced the service will launch when iOS 7 becomes available on Sept. 18. According to mashable.com iTunes Radio is free with no ads for users of iTunes Match, which costs $24.99 for a year's subscription. The free internet radio will feature over 200 stations with a large catalogue of music. As previously reported, McDonald's, Pepsi, Nissan and Procter & Gamble have committed to ad campaigns. Reportedly , iTunes Radio advertisers agreed to spend at least $1 million with Apple from the start of 2014.

From there, the south tower, next the Pentagon in Washington and finally a fourth plane crashed into a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania. Nearly 3,000 people died in the attacks, including those aboard the four planes. Of course none of us will ever forget this tragic day or the lives of those lost or their families.
