American Airlines Issues Apology To Glenn Beck Following Treatment On Flight [VIDEO]

THE MOUTH, SEPTEMBER 5TH, 2012 –– By now you would think snarky flight attendants would be wise not to mess with media peeps who reach millions of people on the radio & TV. That was the case for Glenn Beck (shown) who traveled with his wife and children to New York City over the weekend for what he thought would be a relaxing trip. That didn't turn out to be the case. On his show, he detailed how an American Airline's flight attendant "barked breakfast” at him and slammed a soda down on his tray. “Never once did he look me in the eye," said Beck. "Never once did he offer a kind or even a neutral word to me,” Beck added, "While he treated me as a subhuman, he treated my children nicely. So as I was deplaning, as he was standing next to the pilot, I said to him, ‘I want to sincerely thank you for not treating my children the way you treated me.’ His response? ‘It was my pleasure. You deserved it.’ The pilot didn’t say anything...” Now, according to The Dallas Observer, American Airlines has responded to the incident. Spokesperson Matt Miller wrote the following message to the outlet: “We are sorry for the experience Mr. Beck had on a recent flight. The comfort and satisfaction of our customers are very important priorities to us and we take these matters seriously. We have reached out to Mr. Beck’s office and are actively looking into the situation.” WATCH VIDEO ON GBTV

U. S. Senator Marco Rubio Lights Up With Rusty Humphries

THE MOUTH, SEPTEMBER 5TH, 2012 –– Talk Radio Network Entertainment’s Rusty Humphries has researched and designed a high-end cigar to be enjoyed in limited quantities. “I’ve been a cigar aficionado for a long time,” Humphries said, “And I always thought, ‘Wouldn’t it be cool to have your own cigar?’” “If you go to cigar shops, guys are usually there talking politics all the time, and they’re usually conservative. So I thought, ‘What a great product that would go with talk radio,’ says Humphries. Humphries spent more than 18 months of learning and experimenting – seven of them working with Don Lino creator, Nestor Miranda and master blender, José “Pepin” Garcia. Together the two Cuban legends, both Floridians now, created a 7-inch, 56-ring-gauge showpiece of a cigar called “El Presidente.” Another famous Floridian – Republican U.S. Senator Marco Rubio – was among the first to taste it. The potential GOP Vice-Presidential pick “pronounced it Bueno,” says Humphries. Cumulus Rocks Atlanta With Launch Of The Bone

THE MOUTH, SEPTEMBER 4TH, 2012 –– On the heels of Clear Channel's recent switch of Project 9-6-1's rock format to the new CHR, Power 96.1, this past Saturday Cumulus Media waved goodbye to alternative 99X and welcomed rocker 98.9 The Bone to Atlanta. Cumulus' Co-CEO, John Dickey tells Jockline Daily: "With CCU's exit from the rock format it was an easy decision to serve the large disenfranchised active rock market. Cumulus has done that with the Bone. We now have two well positioned brands serving the active and mainstream / classic rock market in Atlanta." As for its lineup, Jockline Daily has learned that the 99X staff should remain in place under the guidance of its PD, Axel. As for mornings, we're told it will remain music-intensive for now.
