REPORT: Todd Schnitt Considering Re-Trial; Clem Producer Says M.J. Plans To Sue Him Next

THE MOUTH, FEBRUARY 8TH, 2013 –– Don't put away the aspirin yet. Thanks to a claim that Schnitt's lawyer was set-up for a DUI and the paralegal allegedly involved with the claim pleading the fifth, Tampa Bay and the radio world could be in for yet another trial between Bubba The Love Sponge and Todd "MJ" Schnitt. Sources tell FOX 13 that Todd 'MJ' Schnitt's legal team is gearing up for another battle in court and will file a motion soon asking for a whole new trial. Regarding the alleged DUI setup by the Diaco law firm, which represented Bubba 'the Love Sponge' Clem, Tampa attorney Anthony Rickman sayto expect several reasons to be given for a new trial. For starters, attorney misconduct associated with the allegations of a DUI setup by the Diaco law firm, which represented Bubba 'the Love Sponge' Clem. Meanwhile, this week on Wednesday's Bubba The Love Spong Show, Brent Hatley, its executive producer, announced that he received a certified letter from Todd "MJ" Schnitt. He told 10 News that the letter from MJ outlines the intent to "sue him in the foreseeable future." When 10 News asked what the lawsuit was about, Brent said it over over attorney Phil Campbell's DUI arrest. Clem's legal team was then accused of orchestrating a scheme to entice Campbell into drinking and then driving while Tampa police waited outside. Bubba's team has denied any involvement, calling them preposterous.

John Peake Takes CCME VP Stripes In San Diego

THE MOUTH, FEBRUARY 6TH, 2013 –– Clear Channel Media and Entertainment San Diego announced that John Peake has been named Vice President of Programming, effective February 18, 2013. In addition to his role as Vice President of Programming, Peake will also serve as Program Director for Star 94.1 KMYI FM. Peake has an impressive resume to his credit including his most recent position as Vice President of Programming for CCME in Seattle where he managed Rhythm KUBE, KBKS, KJR FM, Sportsradio KJR and Fox Sports Net KHHO.  Previously, Peake was the Show Director for Johnjay & Rich, heard on a 7-station network. His work at 104.1 KRBE Houston propelled the station to No. 1 in Texas and his rebranding efforts at Alice@97.3 San Francisco led the station to record ratings. Peake has also worked internationally as the Mission Director at the NRJ Radio Group in Paris, France.
