The successful two-day events, “Kat Country Cares for St. Jude Kids Radiothon” and “The Hawk’s St. Jude Rocks Radiothon,” were held on Wednesday, February 21st and Thursday, February 22nd to support the lifesaving mission of St. Jude that no child should die in the dawn of life. Pebbles is the reigning (2023) Massachusetts Broadcasters Association (MBA) “Broadcaster of the Year.”

Her first experience in radio was as an intern at WILD 1090 which led to her first paying radio job as part of The Wild Morning Show. In 1995, Pebbles made the jump to FM radio and the morning show on the new JAM’N 94.5 (WJMN-FM). There she eventually partnered with Ramiro and Melissa to form the origins of the morning show that now resides on Beasley Media’s HOT 96.9 (WBQT-FM) as The GetUp Crew – a show that has been amongst the highest rated in Boston for more than 23 years. Pebbles has won two Gracie Awards, both recognizing her public affairs program, “Voices.”

Chasta Freeman, Program Director - Mornings & Mid-Days 107.7 The Bone (KSAN) tells Jockline, "While the rest of us were relaxing during President’s Day Weekend, Eric "Smelly" Smeltzer - Executive Producer of the Lamont & Tonelli Show [KSAN-FM 107.7 The Bone] - ran a 48-hour ultramarathon race outside of Las Vegas called the Jackpot Ultras. Smeltzer - and all the deranged lunatics who showed up with him for the sufferfest - competed to see who could run the farthest in 48 hours. Smeltzer finished #1 overall with 198 miles. But that's not all.

After the race, he kept his shoes on and ran another 2 miles to end up with an unofficial 200 total miles, mostly because he has an unhealthy passion for round numbers. When asked about the biggest challenge of running non-stop for 48 hours, Smeltzer said, “I thought it would be the sleep deprivation, but nope. It was my chafed crotch. It looks like I got blasted with a shotgun down there.”

Lamont was amazed by his producer’s extreme achievement and denies he had mixed feelings. "I'm happy Smelly did it. I'm happy Smelly survived. But I also know if Smelly dropped dead during this ridiculous race, we’d definitely get a ratings boost."

DCist Shut Down Again By WAMU; '15 Layoffs To Accompany Closure'

THE MOUTH, FEBRUARY 26TH, 2024 - DCist has been shut down reports The Washingtonian. Its owner, WAMU, broke the news to staffers Friday. A banner appeared over DCist’s homepage Friday morning that says that the site “will no longer publish new content. It advises readers to “visit WAMU.org for local news and programming.”

American University, which owns WAMU, says in a press release that staffers will be able to access an archive of their stories “to support their professional pursuits.” WAMU management offered Axios an exclusive report that says 15 layoffs will accompany the closure. AU’s press release describes the cuts as “a new strategy to deepen engagement with Washingtonians” that will be “centered around audio and live experiences.” It plans to create “a new local show, for, by, and about Washingtonians” and intends to “partner with local content providers to amplify their stories and connect audiences with a variety of rich experiences.”

General manager Erika Pulley-Hayes  told Axios that the station would “shift away from digital publishing,” allowing WAMU “to focus on its core radio products.” As Washington Post reporter Elahe Izadi first reported Thursday evening, staffers received an e-mail Thursday afternoon from Pulley-Hayes that announced the office would close Friday and the station would be temporarily run by automation and that an all-staff meeting at 9 AM would discuss the station’s “new strategic framework.”

NBA To Induct Kent Boughton, Jane Monnich And Dave Webber Into Hall of Fame

THE MOUTH, FEBRUARY 26TH, 2024 - The Nebraska Broadcasters Association will induct Kent Boughton, Jane Monnich and Dave Webber into the NBA Hall of Fame on August 6h in Lincoln during the 89th Annual NBA Convention.

Kent Boughton began his broadcasting career at the age of 15 as a disc jockey at KRGI in Grand Island. After graduating from Brown Institute in 1977, Kent began his television career as sports and weather director at KIFI TV in Idaho Falls before returning to Nebraska in 1979 to become weather director at KHAS TV in Hastings. After 12 years on the air, Kent left broadcasting for a few years to see his kids grow up. He returned to the airwaves in 1999 as chief forecaster at KHGI TV in Kearney, where he became the trusted weather source for central Nebraskans for over 20 years.

Hired as a news writer for KLIN at Lincoln’s Broadcast House in 1972, little did Jane Monnich know the Broadcast House would be her professional home for the next 48 years. At a time when women were rarely heard on the air, Jane was soon named KLIN’s afternoon news anchor. She moved to morning news in 1973 and in 1976 became KLIN’s morning show co-host with Ron Dean, forming Lincoln’s first male-female radio show.

In a career now exceeding 50 years, Dave Webber got his start as a disc jockey on Omaha’s KLNG and KFAB before joining KMEG TV in Sioux City as a sports reporter in 1973. Dave returned to Omaha in 1977 as a sports reporter for KMTV before taking the assistant sports director role at Omaha’s WOWT TV in 1978. He quickly rose to sports director and over the next 31 years, While honored with numerous industry and community service awards, Dave selflessly nurtured other sports reporters throughout his career. One of Omaha’s most-loved TV personalities, Dave semi-retired in 2009.

Award-Winning Host Larry Groce To Be Inducted Into Folk Radio Music Hall of Fame

THE MOUTH, FEBRUARY 26TH, 2024 - Legendary West Virginia entertainer Larry Groce is adding another honor to his list of awards and accomplishments in the music industry. Larry Groce, the former artistic director and host of the live performance radio show Mountain Stage, recently learned he’ll be inducted into the Folk Radio Hall of Fame. Groce tells West Virginia Metro News, he owes a lot to Mountain Stage. “I appreciate that they’re giving me the honor, but I know, in a great part, it goes to Mountain Stage which is not a single person’s doing,."

Groce was born in Dallas, Texas and made West Virginia his forever home in 1972. He said anytime he’s recognized for his work in West Virginia, it’s a big deal. “I love this state so much that anytime I get an honor that has West Virginia on it, it’s unbelievable to me,” he said. “It’s been a wonderful ride for which I’m totally grateful. I’ve been here 51 years and I feel like this is my home.”

Groce previously served as host of Mountain State, produced by West Virginia Public Broadcasting and distributed by NPR Music, since its inception in 1983 until 2021. The show has featured over 2,000 different artists from across the country and around the world and is heard by thousands of listeners each week on radio and podcasts. Groce is a Grammy nominee who recorded 24 albums and the Top Ten single, “Junk Food Junkie”” Folk music holds a special place in his heart, Groce said. Groce has been inducted into the West Virginia Music and West Virginia Broadcasting Halls of Fame.

Cumulus Media Adopts 'Limited-Duration Shareholder Rights Plan' To Thwart Hostile Takeover

THE MOUTH, FEBRUARY 23RD, 2024 - Cumulus Media Inc. announced that its Board of Directors has adopted a limited-duration shareholder rights plan, commonly known as a 'poison pill,' to protect the best interests of all Cumulus Media shareholders. The Rights Plan is effective immediately and will expire on February 20, 2025. The Board may consider an earlier termination of the Rights Plan if circumstances warrant.

The limited-duration Rights Plan was adopted in response to the significant accumulation of Cumulus Media stock by Renew Group Private Ltd., an entity based in Singapore (The Group). In adopting the plan, the Cumulus Board considered, in consultation with legal and financial advisors listed among other things that the Group has investments in other media companies, including a sizeable holding in a direct competitor of Cumulus Media.

“Given the facts, the Cumulus Board firmly believes it is necessary to adopt a limited-duration rights plan to protect the interests of all Cumulus shareholders. The Rights Plan is intended to enable the Company’s shareholders to realize the long-term value of their investment, ensure that all shareholders receive fair and equal treatment in the event of any proposed takeover of the Company, and guard against tactics to gain control of the Company without paying all shareholders an appropriate premium for that control,” said Andrew Hobson, Chairman of the Board.

He continued, “Cumulus Media’s leadership maintains open dialogue with its investors, including the Group, and intends to continue that practice.” The Rights Plan applies equally to all current and future shareholders and is not intended to deter offers or preclude the Board from considering offers that are fair and otherwise in the best interest of the Company’s shareholders. 23 Kansas Stations Band Together To Honor Lisa Lopez-Galvan Who Was Killed In Shooting

THE MOUTH, FEBRUARY 23RD, 2024 - Radio stations across both states joined together to honor popular radio host Lisa Lopez-Galvan who was killed 'Chief's celebration shooting. KCTV5 reports ‘Kansas City Radio: Stronger Together’ is a tribute to Lopez, who was a host at KKFI. Bryan Truta, morning show host at 90.9 The Bridge, said this is about 23 stations coming together with one common goal. “The radio community is very tight-knit; we are a very close group,” Truta said. “This is to promote the fact that there is this fund that can help take care of her husband, her children, and her family in this time of need.” A link to a GoFundMe to support the Lopez family can be found on every station’s website.

“Lisa knew that power of music and broadcasting as well as, if not better than most of us, so this is an honor to pay tribute to one of our own,” Truta said. Truta said it’s encouraging to see competitors coming together. “We can put aside any of those competitive differences and whatever fights we may have, and when the time calls for it, we can all band together and be as one and speak with one voice, and that is just a tremendous thing,” Truta said.

Allison Mazzei, president of the Kansas Association of Broadcasters, saw the tribute and wanted to do something. They donated $1,000 to the family. “I hope that our donation helps her family, but also it’s to represent our support of broadcasters in general,” Mazzei said. Truta said they will also be re-airing the recent ‘Taste of Tejano’ show on at 10 a.m. on Saturday.

[WATCH] Former Vegas Radio Producer Being Hailed A Hero After Helping Subdue Attacker From Judge

THE MOUTH, FEBRUARY 22ND, 2024 - Former 98.5 KLUC assistant producer for the Chet Buchanan Show, Michael Lasso is being hailed a hero for taking action in a Las Vegas courtroom last month. Michael, who is currently a law student at the California Western School of Law and law clerk for Judge Mary Kay Holthus, sprang into action when a defendant attacked the judge during sentencing in the courtroom. Michael subdued the attacker long enough for courtroom bailiffs to restrain the defendant and remove him from court. Michael is being called a hero for his quick actions, saving the judge from major injury. In a call to the Buchanan Show, he said after the video went viral that he had people reach out from all over, from different countries - 'had people reach out from WWE.'

Michael worked for KLUC from 2016-2018, while a student at UNLV. He is also a recipient of the Tony and Linda Bonnici Scholarship Fund from the Nevada Broadcasters Association. Michael was recognized by the Las Vegas City Council this week for his heroic efforts. Court Greenlights Audacy's Reorganization Plan; Expects To Emerge From Chapter 11 Process After Ruling

THE MOUTH, FEBRUARY 21ST, 2024 - Philadelphia-based Audacy, Inc. announced Tuesday the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas approved the Company’s Plan of Reorganization. With the Plan dapproved, Audacy expects to emerge from the Chapter 11 process after the Company obtains approval from the Federal Communications Commission.

[WATCH] Iconic Talk Radio/Comic Phil Hendrie Subject Of New Feature Documentary

THE MOUTH, FEBRUARY 20TH, 2024 -Some of the biggest names in show business including Bill Hader, Judd Apatow, Kevin Pollak, Henry Rollins, Dana Gould, Wayne Federman and more will weigh in on the legendary talk host Phil Hendrie in a new documentary from FreeStyle Digital Media. The new doc called 'Hendrie' will be available on Amazon, iTunes, Google Play, YouTube Movies, Cable and Satellite On Demand beginning March 15th, 2024.

That Eric Alper says Hendrie is a feature documentary on the legendary talk-radio comic legend Phil Hendrie, who influenced a legion of great comedic minds through his innovative and relatively short-lived, off-the-wall radio show. The film chronicles the life of a radio personality that dared to satirize the very medium he was part of, using a distinct and original method that hasn’t been attempted before or since.

According to Deadline, The movie will be available to rent/own on all digital HD internet, cable, and satellite platforms worldwide, as well as on DVD, starting on March 15 through Freestyle Digital Media. Columbus Station Abandons CD 92.9's New Call Letters Just Days After Getting Them

THE MOUTH, FEBRUARY 20TH, 2024 -NBC4 Columbus reports that CD 92.9 FM new calls has been tossed by the second alternative radio station to hold it within the span of a month, and is once again up for grabs. When CD 92.9 went off the air on Feb. 1 and as the frequency’s new WXGT calls went into effect, iHeartMedia filed to switch from WXZX to WWCD for its local station, Columbus Alternative 105.7.

iHeartMedia, however, appeared to have a change of heart reports NBC. The same day that its new call-sign went into effect, the corporation filed additional FCC paperwork to change it from WWCD back to WXZX. This latest swap went into effect on Feb. 12. During its single week operating as WWCD, Columbus Alternative 105.7 did not appear to attempt any form of a rebrand besides the legal minimum says NBC. The FCC requires a broadcast station to announce its call letters at least once an hour, as close to the top of the hour as possible.

Listening to the station’s broadcast showed that it maintained the same slogan and name, with a lone recording of the phrase “WWCD” rather than “WXZX” once an hour to meet the federal guidelines. ICANN registration data shows someone obtained the website domains “cd1057.com” and “cd1057fm.com” on Jan. 25 and Jan. 31, respectively. While privacy protections mask who bought the domains, they do indicate an individual person bought them.

KDKA Pittsburgh Debuts 'Next Take' Overnight Show Led By Students from the University of Pittsburgh

Alabama Station Whose Tower Was Stolen Returns To The Air With An Assist From iHeartRadio

THE MOUTH, FEBRUARY 19TH, 2024 - WJLX Radio in Jasper, Alabama is finally back on the air. You'll recall this is the station that a couple of weeks ago went off the air when thieves reportedly stole the entire 200-foot broadcast tower. The dvalue of the tower was about $200,000. According ABC 33/40, The general manager/morning host Brett Elmore (L) has been trying to figure out how to get another tower. In the meantime, the situation caught the attention of national and international media.

dEarly last week, Elmore got a call from Jon Zellner (R), the president of programming operations and digital music at iHeartMedia. “He’d heard the story and seen it on TV and wanted to do anything he could to help,” Elmore told ABC 33/40. Zellner and iHeartMedia executive vice president Jeff Littlejohn worked with Elmore to set up an HD signal package for WJLX on channel 102.5 HD 3. Now, iHeart Media will share their HD3 signal out of Birmingham so the station can broadcast on 102.5 and 101.5 out of Jasper.

Elmore says he's done interviews with USA Today, The New York Times, and the BBC, just to name a few. Last week, iHeartMedia leaned of the station's dilemma and figured out a way to help. iHeart will basically share their HD3 signal out of Birmingham so the station will broadcast on 102.5 and 101.5 out of Jasper. THE MOUTH, FEBRUARY 16TH, 2024 - As reported last week following the tragic loss of Lisa Lopez-Galvan, host of “A Taste of Tejano” on KKFI 90.1 FM who was tragically killed during the Super Bowl Parade of the Kansas City Chiefs, a special on-air tribute is now planned.

dLopez-Galvan's co-host Tommy Andrade tells 41 KSHB-TV Kansas City on Tuesday, Feb. 20, he hopes to have some of Lopez-Galvan’s family members in the studio to help play her favorite songs to honor her

Meanwhile, following KKFI 90.1 setting up a GoFundMe page for Lopez-Galvan's family, Taylor Swift contributed $100K to the fund. The “Elizabeth Lopez-Galvan Memorial” page was set up Thursday afternoon, with a goal of raising $75,000 for the family of the 44-year-old shooting victim. According to Variety, around 1,300 people had made donations when Swift pushed the total beyond the goal in the wee hours of Friday morning, first making a donation of $50,000 and then making a second donation in the same amount eight minutes later.

“Sending my deepest sympathies and condolences in the wake of your devastating loss. With love, Taylor Swift,” wrote the singer. Swift’s rep confirmed to Variety that the donations by the singer appearing on the page were legit. “This fund has been set up to benefit the family of Lisa Lopez-Galvan,” reads the GoFundMe page’s text.

Report: 'Radio May Be The Difference Maker' In 2024 Election Contests With Added Reach

THE MOUTH, FEBRUARY 16TH, 2024 - According to a new political study by Nielsen, Radio may be a difference-maker in 2024 contests, helping campaigns extend reach, deliver hard-to-reach demographics, and optimize media plans. Idil Cakim, SVP And Head Of Research & Insights, Audacy, writes: "A small strategy shift could make a big difference"If a campaign reallocated 20% of existing ad dollars to Radio, it could reach 17% more voters, according to Nielsen’s new “Optimizing Political Campaigns in November” report, which merges voting behavior and viewership data.

“Incorporating radio into the broadcast mix early and often will result in better outcomes,” noted Jon Blum, Audacy’s Senior Vice President of Strategy, Partnerships and Analytics. “Radio complements TV’s ability to reach undecided voters that are unreachable on TV.” As recently as 2020, campaigns relied heavily on linear TV to reach voters, but media disruption is upending old political ad tactics. As linear TV viewership declines, campaigns see diminishing returns for expensive investments. With campaigns under pressure to find alternatives, Radio offers a cost-effective alternative with broad reach across crucial voter groups and the political spectrum.

According to Nielsen’s study, Radio has near universal reach (92%) across voter bases, whether Democrats, Republicans or unaffiliated voters.1 “Radio is the secret ingredient that can help a candidate win,” said Haley Teare, Audacy’s VP of Government and Political Partnerships. While linear TV remains important to political advertising, adding more Radio and introducing it earlier can turbocharge a campaign, extending reach and catching voters who don’t watch TV (or fetch snacks and scroll social media during commercial breaks).

Beginning this spring, savvy campaign advisors and media buyers will prominently include Radio in their advertising strategy as candidates hit the campaign trail. Cumulus VP of Country Charlie Cook To Exit Company In May

THE MOUTH, FEBRUARY 16TH, 2024 - Cumulus Media VP of country Charlie Cook is set to leave the company on May 31, In addition to his national duties, Cook also serves as OM for its Cumulus’ Nashville cluster and and PD for WKDF and WSM-FM Nashville.

According to Country Aircheck, Cook told VP/MM Allison Warren, chief content officer Brian Philips and SVP of programming John Dimick in April 2023 of his desire to pursue new challenges. Cook stated, “They asked me to give them a year. Well, here we are almost a year later and it’s time for me to move away from an experience that I have loved for something new and different. Thanking everyone inside Cumulus and in Nashville would fill these pages so I look forward to personally thanking everyone over the next few months.”

Philips said in a statement, “Charlie Cook’s accomplishments and awards are the stuff of Nashville legend. He is of course, in character, irreplaceable. I foresee a future where we will always rely on his wise counsel. He represents the gold standard among Cumulus employees. We are deeply grateful for his immeasurable contributions.”

Cook was inducted into the Country Radio Hall of Fame in 2011 before joining Cumulus in 2014. Last year, he was honored with the Academy of Country Music’s service award, alongside Bill Mayne; Cook is the Academy of Country Music’s longest-serving board member.

Kansas City Radio Host Lisa Lopez-Galvan Killed In Shooting After Chiefs' Super Bowl Celebration

THE MOUTH, FEBRUARY 15TH, 2024 - In the wake of another senseless mass-shooting, Kansas City radio station KKFI-90.1 confirmed the death of of popular host Lisa Lopez-Galvan, known on-air as Lisa G. She was the host of “Taste of Tejano,” was killed in the shooting at the Chiefs’ Super Bowl parade. According to ABC World News, authorities said earlier that one person died and 21 others were hit by gunfire after a shooting broke out at the end of the event.

In a statement on the station's Facebook page, they posted: "A senseless act has taken a beautiful person from her family and this KC community." “It is with sincere sadness and an extremely heavy and broken heart that we let our community know that KKFI DJ Lisa Lopez, host of Taste of Tejano lost her life today in the shooting at the KC Chiefs' rally. Paradegoers recounted panic during shooting after Chiefs Super Bowl rally, telling ABC affiliate KMBC-TV: "'Everybody started running' The shooting took place west of Union Station (shown above), near the garage, as Chiefs fans were leaving, Kansas City police said earlier in the day. According to the police, three suspects have been detained. At least one firearm was recovered, the police said. A motive remains unclear. Gunshot victims were transported to several hospitals in the area, including eight with "immediately" life-threatening injuries and seven with life-threatening injuries, according to the Kansas City Fire Department.

Houston's 93Q PD Travis Moon tells EW's Wesley Stenzel "I'm excited because it just sounds so freaking good on the radio," Stenzel writes, 'If the singles “Texas Hold ‘Em’ and “16 Carriages” are any indication, Beyoncé’s new album Renaissance: Act II appears to be her first full-fledged country project."

Moon says he’s “all-in” on “Texas Hold ‘Em.” “We're playing right now. We’re actually the first station in America to officially add the song,” he tells EW. Moon’s enthusiasm stems from the quality of the track rather than the singer’s stardom. “Am I going at this going, ‘Hey, I want to convert every Beyoncé fan to love country music?’ That's not why I'm doing this,” he explains. “I added the song because it's a great song, and I'm excited because it just sounds so freaking good on the radio.

Meanwhile, Nick Russo, program manager for Houston’s US99 Country, is prioritizing “16 Carriages” over “Texas Hold ‘Em,” as he thinks the track should make a strong impression on country fans, as he noted in an Instagram Reel he shared with EW. ‘16 Carriages’ deserves equal weight in this situation. In the storyline, it really hits the heart, and that's where country music lives. The songs live in your heart.” Russo compared the song’s lyrics, which reflect on the narrator’s teenage years, to Taylor Swift’s early work.

Mike Levine of Go Country 105 in Los Angeles is also excited about Beyoncé’s new music. “The new single sounds great,” he says. “We will probably be able to play it like one or two times this week just to sample it, but I won't know until about a month or so, once we start looking at programming again, just to see how the data is on it, and if it's something we add to our regular programming or not.” The radio managers are optimistic about the singer’s potential to convert the Beyhive into country fans. “Anything to make country more approachable is amazing, so it's fantastic,” Levine says. STUDY: Telecommunications Among Most Impacted Industries By Technology in 2024

THE MOUTH, JANUARY 2ND, 2024 - “The Impact of Technology in 2024 and Beyond,” found AI as the technology most likely to have the greatest impact on a broad range of industries from film to medicine. The Impact of Technology in 2024 and Beyond: AN IEEE global study (IEEE) Extended reality, cloud computing, 5G and electric vehicles are also among the top five most important technologies in 2024, according to the IEEE. The survey of CTOS (Global Tech. Officers) from the US, UK, China, India and Brazil found AI to be the most impactful technology next year, encompassing predictive and generative AI, machine learning (ML) and natural language processing (NLP).

Telecommunications, Manufacturing, Financial Industries Most impacted by Technology in 2024- The top five industry sectors that will be most impacted by technology in 2024, according to survey responses, are: 

  • (41%) telecommunications (as compared to 40% in 2023)

  • (39%) manufacturing (as compared to 30% in 2023)

  • (39%) banking and financial services (as compared to 33% in 2023) 

  • (31%) automotive and transportation (as compared to 39% in 2023)

  • (31%) energy (as compared to 33% in 2023) 

According to the survey, among the top uses of AI in the coming year will be real-time cybersecurity, increasing supply chain efficiency, aiding and accelerating software development, automating customer service, and the speeding up screening of job applicants. However, integrating AI into existing work isn’t as straightforward as flipping a switch. In the study, nearly half of respondents said they see difficulty integrating AI into existing workflows as one of the top three concerns when it comes to using generative AI in 2024.

The benefit of AI is clear to many, but there’s a tricky part: potential risks. Among them is the risk of overreliance on generative AI for facts. As the IEEE puts it, the problem is that those facts aren’t always accurate. And with all forms of AI, it can be difficult to find out how, exactly, the software arrived at its conclusion. In the survey, 59% of respondents cited an “overreliance on AI and potential inaccuracies” as a top concern of AI use in their organizations. Part of the problem is that the training data itself can be inaccurate. “Verifying training data is difficult because the provenance is not available and volume of the training data is enormous,” said IEEE life fellow Paul Nikolic. Urban, Suburban, Rural Listening Differences Does where one lives in the U.S. affect what one listens to? Edison Research’s Share of Ear® study finds that indeed, listeners from urban, suburban, and rural areas (as defined by the U.S. Census) exhibit distinctively different behaviors when it comes to AM/FM radio listening, and podcast listening. As seen in the graphic below, those who live in rural areas spend a much higher portion of their audio listening time with AM/FM radio, as compared with those living in suburban or urban areas. Rural listeners spend 43% of their daily audio listening time with AM/FM radio and radio streams, compared with urban listeners who spend 34% of their time with AM/FM radio and radio streams. Meanwhile, Urban listeners spend over twice as much of their daily audio time with podcasts as rural listeners. Urban listeners spend 13% of their daily audio time with podcasts compared with rural listeners who spend 6% of their daily time with podcasts. For both data points, those who live in the suburbs fall in between.
