THE MOUTH, APRIL 2ND, 20912 –– Katie Couric's guest hosting on ABC's 'Good Morning America' make be thrown a slight publicity curve this week if 'Today Show' producer Jim Bell has his way. According to a late tweet on Sunday night he wrote: “Tuesday morning live on the TODAY show in Studio 1A, Ryan Seacrest will make a big NBC announcement.” He followed by wondering if Seacrest “have more fun doing the weather for Al,” referring to Al Roker, “or having a cocktail in the 10am with Kathie Lee? What is your drink Ryan?” According to Media Decoder, Seacrest is on the verge of completing a new contract with NBCUniversal, the company that owns the E! channel, where he is a host and a producer; Bravo, where he is a supplier of programming; and NBC, where he will soon appear sometimes on the “Today” show. As Jockline Daily first reported some months ago, Seacrest has been negotiating NBCUniversal, part of Comcast, over a deal. An unamed source who asked for anonymity, suggest he won't appear daily on 'Today, but would make periodic contributions to the morning show. Seacrest currently co-hosts and produces “E! There he'll reunite with Brian Montgomery, aka Monty, his former co-host there. The official announcement was timed to coincide Sunday night's ACM Awards. “This is not his real voice. It’s several octaves higher. It’s kind of like a Pee-wee Herman voice. He affects it,” joked Brian Montgomery, Roach’s partner – Monty in the Morning. “For a long time, I have been driving in in the morning listening to “Monty in the Morning,’ and dial around to see what some of the other radio stations are doing. I love what Jimmy has been doing in this market for a long time,” said PD Mark Anderson, of Y108. “To be able to put them together, on one radio station in the morning. We really think that is going to be something special.”

Price Is Right's Lancaster Draws Flag From D.C.'s Houston Over Gay Tweet

THE MOUTH, APRIL 2ND, 2012 –– Fresh on the heels of Carson Daly's on-air joke that rattled the gay community - for which he's since apologized, last Friday, "Price of Right's" Amer Lancaster (shown right) tweeted a couple of lines that didn't sit well with many, including Hot 99.5's (Jerry) Houston. He wrote on his blog "As someone heavily involved with Capital Pride every year here in DC and the programming on Pride Radio on iHeartRadio ...it's kinda crazy to me that my favorite game show would have a model on the cast that thinks it's "ok" to make fun at the expense of gays. It would be one thing if she was joking with a friend...but there's no indication about that." Among the tweets that rankled Houston were “A gay guy just told me he’s allergic to nuts. #irony”. She later posted that “a gay guy I just met goes to a lesbian butcher to get his meat.” who also is seen on MTV's "The Hard Times of RJ Berger." Over the line? Give us your thoughts by CLICKING HERE

WFAN's Carton Goes Off On Hank Haney Over Tiger Wood's Book [AUDIO]

CARTON "You are a terrible human being ... the scum of the earth."

With the Augusta National coming up in a week, it seemed perfect timing for Tiger Wood's former swing coach to make the rounds to promote his new tell-all "The Big Miss" about Woods. But after last week's appearance on WFAN/New York's Boomer & Carton Show he probably feels he like he got hit on the head by a 3 iron. For nearly 20 minutes, the popular sport's duo drilled him on the timing of his book and made no bones about their disdane of casting such a mean-spirited book about one of the greatest golfers of all time. Carton at one point called the instructor "a terrible human being and said he was the scum of the earth." After being hammered, Haney eventually hung up. LISTEN TO INTERIEW HERE

I started to look at the pastor and the first lady up there [at the pulpit] preaching about giving $200 and getting $200 worth of blessings, you give $50 and only get $50. I thought ‘woah this is about money,’ guilting people out of money." The Undershepherd features a starstudded cast, including Lou Gossett Jr., Lamman Rucker and Keith David. WATCH PREVIEW

Win A Baby Contest Winner Is Preggers

THE MOUTH, MARCH 30TH, 2012 –– Ryan and Natasha Derouchie (shown center), finalists in the highly publicized Win A Baby contest, visited the Hot 89.9 studio Thursday morning to announce on air that they are expecting. After trying to conceive a baby for more than five years, Natasha and Ryan Derouchie of Ottawa never thought a radio contest would have helped them make their dream come true. But it did, and they couldn't be happier. The New Hot 89-9 announced on the air Thursday that the finalist couple in the controversial Win A Baby contest is expecting a child. The Derouchies and four other couples won up to three fertility treatments valued at $35,000 in October. Natasha only ended up using one in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment before doctors told her she was pregnant. “I just started shaking when I got the phone call,” said Natasha. "They said they heard from critics who said if they couldn’t conceive naturally, then it’s God’s way of saying they don’t deserve a baby. “You can’t make everybody happy,” said Ryan. “For five years we tried and tried and got tested as far as our will or hope, and in the end, we could also say that the contest and the way it came was meant to be." As for Hot 89.9, last week they took home an award during Canadian Music Week for the contest. The station won Radio Promotion of the Year at the festival, which celebrates the Canadian music and radio industry.“Our true Hotties were on board with this from day one and to see us get international attention and now this award is a testament to how great they truly are" said morning host Mauler. 1

Clear Channel Cuts Hit Numerous Markets

THE MOUTH, MARCH 30TH, 2012 –– Numerous Clear Channel stations across the U.S. were hit yesterday with massive personnel cuts, many involving longtime PD's, jocks and support staff. In a statement from Clear Channel VP Angel Aristone, it said: "We are constantly evaluating our organization and structure to make sure we are as well positioned as possible to continue to lead in the evolving marketplace. We've been looking closely at our business to ensure that we are properly staffed and operating as efficiently as possible with the right balance of services and personnel to meet the needs of our listeners/consumers. Like every successful business, our strategy continues to evolve as we move forward as a company and that creates some new jobs, and unfortunately eliminates others. In the process, some employees were affected. These are never easy decisions to make; we thank them for their service and wish them all the best for the future. Among the cuts included longtime WLAC/Nashville PD Tom Peace, WMIL/Milwaukee's Mitch Morgan; KXXY/OKC's morning co-host Dan Stroud and numerous Total Traffic employees. If you were affected in this latest round of cuts, please forward your contact information if you would like for us to post.
