I can't wait to get back home to Texas!"Miles most recently handled afternoons at Q100 Atlanta. M––––––– According to The Star Tribune, Tommy Mischke, is leaving the airwaves — and doesn’t have a clue what the future holds for him. While spending most of his career on KSTP/AM 1500, in May of 2010 he moved to WCCO/830. “This show tonight will be my last radio program,” Mischke said soon after his show began last Thursday night. “I suppose you can say I’ve reached the bottom of the tank creatively. And I have felt it coming for quite some time.” ––––––– Reportedly, 105.9 The Rock Nashville's Joe "Elvis" King has left the building where he's worked for the last 20 years. KZOK/Seattle's Bonaduce Recalls How Totally Embarrassing It Was To Be Famous And Homeless [VIDEO]

THE MMOUTH, AUGUST 5TH, 2013 –– KZOK-FM/Seattle's Danny Bonaduce was the subject of Oprah Winfrey's "Where Are They Now" seg. this past weekend on her OWN network. He shared following his highly popular stint on TV's Partridge Family revealed how after the season ended in the 70's he became broke and forced to live in his car behind a dumpster near the Grauman's Chinese Theater in Hollywood on the Walk of Fame. "'I'd wake up, kind of wipe my eyes, and I'd go right through the little arch and I'd be in front of Grauman's Chinese Theater, where everybody's footprints are ... I was still famous and people had no idea I lived behind the dumpster. I'd be taking pictures with people and signing autographs ... It was totally embarrassing to be famous and homeless,' he admitted. After decades of drugs and alcohol abuse and a series of arrests, he turned to radio with stints in Chicago, Phoenix, Philadelphia and currently the morning host on Seattle's KZOK-FM. WATCH VIDEO

Host Lisa Landis' Flesh Eathing Disorder Brings Competitors Together

THE MOUTH, AUGUST 5TH, 2013 –– As Jockline Daily reported last June, Lancaster, PA. host Lisa Landis (shown left) of WJTL-FM 89.1 suffers from necrotizing fascitis, a flesh-eating bacteria that attacked her leg from an unknown source. Lancaster online's Eric Stark writes that he didn't learn about this from her station or Facebook, rather on WDAC-FM 94.1, a rival station, the competition. "I first heard about her condition from Mike Stike, WDAC's morning air personality, who told his audience and then gave a prayer. I perked up when I heard him do this. Stike wrote that it reminded me of "Miracle on 34th Street," when Kris Kringle started sending customers from Macy's to Gimbels. WJTL Program Director Fred McNaughton (above right), isn't surprised WDAC would reference his station. He added that othert stations like WROZ-FM , WIOV-FM and WGAL-TV and others, that called WJTL, commented about Landis on the air or sent flowers and well-wishes.

The Turtles Not So Happy With SiriusXM

THE MOUTH, AUGUST 5TH, 2013 –– The Turtles will forever be known for their 60's smash "So Happy Together,' but that doesn't appear to be their mood toward Sirius XM Radio Inc. They now allege that the satellite broadcaster played their songs without prior permission and have filed suit. The lawsuit was filed in the Superior Court in Los Angeles on behalf of the founding members of the band. According to gdpinsider, this brings an oddity in the copyrights law in that only recordings that have been made since 1972 are protected by the Federal Law. This particular album was cut in 1967 and had the protection of a State law. The lead attorney for the Turtles, Harry Gradstein said that this particular law was applied in varying degrees only in a handfuls of states. The suit is seeking class-action status and a minimum of $100M in damages in being demanded. This rule did not pose a problem in the past as terrestrial radio broadcasters were exempted from paying any performance royalties on all the sound recordings, irrespective of when they were made. This was because the recording artists receive a lot of exposure from airplay that technically translates into sales.

Orlando Host Says TSA Agents Inappropriately Touched, Embarrassed Her [VIDEO]

THE MOUTH, AUGUST 2ND, 2013 –– The look on Jana Banana's face in her Facebook post (left), pretty much says it all. Jana Banana, a popular host on Real Radio 104.1/Orlando host says a recent security screening at Orlando International Airport left her feeling humiliated because she is confined to a Mwheelchair. According to click.orlando, she says was touched inappropriately by TSA agents and it isn't the first time she's had problems at the airport. She posted at FB page ""I was detained, interrogated and molested by 6 TSA agents and 3 bomb explosive experts for over and hour...I've never felt so humiliated." Her husband told Local 6 by phone that it happens every time she flies. Because she can't walk through the body scanner or metal detector, TSA policy dictates she must get a pat-down, that she claims was uncomfortable. "The TSA agent touched her, only where her husband and her doctor do," said fellow personality, Jack Bradshaw. A TSA spokesperson said both Jana and her wheelchair set off an alarm, explosives experts were called in, and she was screened in a private room with the door closed. WATCH VIDEO
